The inspiration for the Isle of Skye range draws on the natural landscape of the ‘The Misty Isle’ where the company is based. Famed for its natural beauty, ruggedness, and climate, Skye's romantic charm goes back centuries.
Isle of Skye Paint Company uses the finest quality materials and, where possible, sustainable raw materials. Their distinctive and durable range of interior and exterior paints are made with superior-grade, organic seaweed found on the Isle of Skye shores.
Offering both coverage and durability, the naturally occurring stabilising agents found in organic seaweed make the paint easy to apply.

Isle of Skye Paint Company was formed by Alasdair Campbell. Unsatisfied with the durability of exterior paints, Alasdair drew on over 25 years' of experience as a painter and decorator to develop an exterior paint that would withstand the challenges presented by the weather on the Isle of Skye.
And so The Isle of Skye Paint Company was born, taking the landscape of Skye as the inspiration for their colour palette.
Assisted by Alasdair's wife, Carol, Isle of Skye Paints is a family business through and through — with all the commitment and dedication which this brings.

Faileasan—pronounced "falashan"—means "reflections" in Scottish Gaelic.
Mindful of its 45 elegant paint shades, the Isle of Skye's debut wallpaper collection complements stylish colours with fine-art wallpaper and murals. A nuanced colour scheme, echoing the hues of the island as well as the paint range, has been used in this new collection to combine paint and paper in an immersive interior design experience.
Faileasan captivates the senses and lifts the spirits through artistic effects and abstract pattern inspired by the atmospheric glistening waters and pools, brooding weather and worldly mists.
This ethereal collection has been created for the Isle of Skye Paint Company by artist-designer Julia Clare, following her trips to the island, when she quietly photographed and sketched its vast natural beauty. Through a process of careful observation each detail has been poetically translated into beautifully constructed surface designs.
These artistic reflections bring a new aura and spirit of Skye to the modern, interior space through the medium of a wallpaper collection.
